OUR HISTORY

Ghana Publishing Company (formerly called Ghana Publishing Corporation) was incorporated on March 9, 1965 under Legislative Instrument No. 413, and subsequently amended by L.I. 672 of December 11, 1970 to take over the functions of the former Government Printing Department and the Administration of the Government Free Textbook Schemes.

The Assembly Press was converted into a Limited Liability Company under the Statutory Corporations (Conversion to Companies) Act 461, 1993, and re-named Ghana Publishing Company Limited in 2007.

We exist primarily to print and publish very high quality books and stationery for Educational Institutions, Government Departments and the General Public at competitive prices.

    1. What is a Gazette?
    Answer:
    A gazette is an official publication issued by a government or organization to communicate important information to the public.
    2. Is a Gazette necessary after I have changed my name?
    Answer:
    Yes, a gazette is necessary as it gives the name change a legal backing.

    3. What are the documents required for gazetting a church?
    Answer:
    A letter from the Local Assembly (Metropolitan, Municipal or District) where the church is located.

    4. What are the documents required to be gazetted as an officiating Minister?
    Answer:
    (a)A copy of Church’s gazette
    (b)Ordination Certificate
    (c)Letter from the Attorney General’s Department

    5. What are the documents required for gazetting my marriage? (Miss to Mrs.)
    Answer:
    The documents needed are a Statutory Declaration/ Affidavit and your Marriage Certificate.

    1. Why should we trust you with our printing jobs?
    Answer:
    We have state of the art equipment such as;

    (a) Heidelberg MOZ is a two color with a printing area of 19 x 25 and half speed of 10,000 impressions per hour and a numbering unit.

    (b) Heidelberg MOZP is a two color with a printing of 19 x 25 and half speed of 12,000 impressions per hour and a numbering unit. It is a perfecter (print front and back at the same time).

    (c) Heidelberg GTO 52 is a single color machine with numbering unit and a speed of 8,000 impressions per hour.

  • Stationary

    What do you sell?
    Answer:
    We have on sale all the laws of Ghana (Acts, LIs, Cis and EIs) and other novels.

MR. MATTHEW LAWER TEYE

CHAIRMAN

He is the Co-founder and executive director of DCI Microfinance Ltd. Mr. Lawer Teye is an accomplished international financial services executive with a proven track record of strategic leadership and business transformation. In 2007, he served as the Corporate Banking officer at the Royal Bank of Scotland (UK). Until May 2012, he was the relationship manager for Zenith Bank Ltd, Ghana.

She is an accomplished entrepreneur with an incredible expertise in the field of finance, marketing, banking and entrepreneurship. Madam Stella Quaye is a licensed Pharmacist by profession with over 40 years of experience in the retail and wholesale of pharmaceutical products. Madam Stella formerly worked for about a decade with the pharmacy division of the Ghana National Chamber of Pharmacy (GNCoP), a non-governmental organisation that represents the interests of the pharmaceutical industry in Ghana, which was formerly known as the GNTC.
