About Gazette 360
The Gazette 360 campaign is a nationwide public education initiative by the Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) with the goal of deepening public understanding of the Ghana Gazette and its critical role in national governance. At the heart of the campaign is the objective to educate the general public on what the Gazette is, its legal significance, and why it remains the official and most authoritative medium for the publication of government and statutory information.
A key component of the campaign is to promote a clear understanding of the different types of Gazette publications. Many citizens remain unaware of the diversity of notices that appear in the Gazette, which include legal announcements, administrative directives, company registrations, marriage notices, among others. Through this campaign, GPCL seeks to provide clarity on these various categories and help the public appreciate their individual and collective importance.
Another critical objective of the campaign is to combat the growing issue of counterfeit Gazettes. The prevalence of fake publications poses serious risks to legal transactions and public trust.
In summary, the Gazette 360 campaign is a strategic initiative designed to educate, protect, and empower the public while reinforcing the Gazette’s role as a cornerstone of transparent governance in Ghana
