Ghana Publishing Company Limited has participated in the 2025 edition of GAWBO FEST, a literary festival organized by the National Commission for Culture. The event was held at the Center for National Culture in Accra.

The event was partnered by Ghana Publishing Company Limited, Copy Ghana, Ghana Book Publishers Association and the Creative Arts Agency

Sharing insights on the topic, “The Book Industry: a fulcrum for National Development”, the Managing Director of Ghana Publishing Company Limited, Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq bemoaned the decrease in the reading habit of students and emphasized the importance of investing in the literary industry as a means of preserving the culture and heritage for generations unborn.

He further entreated individuals, particularly students to indulge in modern trends to getting access to literature and other reading materials, and added that, “ that is the surest way to sustain the book industry”

The Chairperson for the occasion, Hon. Rashid Pelpuo underscored the need for a holistic development of the literary and book industry and urged stakeholders to inject the necessary resources to ensure it reaps the needed benefits
