June 10, 2025 Accra– The new Divisional Commander responsible for the Accra Central District Police Command, Chief Superintendent, Ebenezer Nketia led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Managing Director of Ghana Publishing Company Limited, Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq.

The visit forms part of efforts of the district command within Accra Central jurisdiction to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, government entities, and corporate organizations in the catchment area.

The initiative among several objectives is also to strengthen the command’s collaboration to enhance community safety measures and to explore ways to work together with the business community to maintain peace, security, and mutual trust.

Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq. received the delegation with excitement. He indicated that the visit was crucial and timely as the two institutions have over the years worked closely together towards providing invaluable services to the general public in a safe environment. Citing the critical era the business organization is operating in after the inception of the 24-hour services which began a two-shifty working system.

He further underscored the crucial partnership in tackling the somewhat prevalent and sophisticated crimes the society is contending with, particularly within the Accra Central Business district.

The MD, however, seized the moment to appeal to the officers of the central district command to expeditiously respond in the affirmative the letter written to the regional command requesting police assistance to enhance security at GPCL.

Responding to the MD’s request, ASP Danso assured the MD that the district command under the directive of the Greater Accra regional commander is making adequate preparation to dispatch an officer to the company.

“yes, we can assure you that we’ve received the letter requesting that we assign an officer to the company… one police officer will be assigned to the company in the meantime, while we wait on the new recruits who passed out to augment number of personnel within this jurisdiction. We’ll later increase it to two”
