PRESIDENT MAHAMA VISITS GPCL

His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, paid a working visit to Ghana Publishing Company Limited on Thursday, 8th January 2026. The visit was to familiarise himself with the company’s operations, commission the company’s new digital printing center and as part of his visit to state-owned media and publishing houses.  The President was accompanied by Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu and other government officials He was met on arrival by Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq, Managing Director of the company as well as the Board and Management of the company.

Speaking during a meeting with the Board and Management of GPCL, the President acknowledged that for many years the Company suffered from a weak public image and low institutional confidence. He noted, however, that the situation has changed, describing the current state of GPCL as encouraging and worthy of recognition.

President John Dramani Mahama commended Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) for what he described as a significant institutional turnaround, noting that the Company has transformed from a struggling entity into a success story within the public sector.

“For a long time, Ghana Publishing did not have a very good brand, but the turnaround is remarkable.” He mentioned. He commended the Board and Management for sustaining the fortunes of the company and urged them to do more. He further expressed confidence in Ghana Publishing Company Limited’s ambition to emerge as one of Ghana’s leading printing establishments, both within and beyond the public sector.

Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq expressed gratitude on behalf on the Board, Management and Staff for the President’s visit, the confidence reposed in the management and staff, and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to carve an enviable niche in the printing and publishing industry.
