Ghana Publishing Company Limited has launched a bold new initiative dubbed Gazette 360, aimed at educating the public on the significance of the Ghana Gazette.

Speaking at the launch, Managing Director Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq. said the campaign will help citizens know what the Gazette is, when they need one, and how to verify its authenticity.

“Our mission is to ensure that every Ghanaian understands that the Gazette is the official mouthpiece of the Republic of Ghana. It is not just a document, it is a sacred record of government and legal acts,” he explained.

GPCL’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Lantam Papanko, explained that the campaign seeks to demystify the Gazette and bring it closer to ordinary Ghanaians. “Too often, people only discover the Gazette when faced with issues like correcting names, passports, or dates of birth. Gazette 360 is here to change that narrative by ensuring every Ghanaian knows what the Gazette is and how to use it before the need arises,” he said.

Operations Manager for Marry Right Ghana Barimah Owusu Agyemang emphasized the need for proper licencing of and gazetting of marriages. “Without Gazette, a wedding conducted, no matter how beautiful may lack the binding force a proper licensing and gazetting protects. Unfortunately, many citizens and even some religious institutions are on unaware of these requirements. Gazette 360 is here to change that, said.

The campaign will include nationwide media engagements and outreach programs to combat misinformation and promote public awareness.

With support from Marry Right Ghana and AngloGold Ashanti, the campaign urges citizens to know the Gazette, use it for legal records, and trust it as protection against fraud and illegitimacy.
