Accra, Ghana – August 20, 2025 – The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Korley Klottey Municipal Office, has paid a working visit to the head office of Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) in Accra. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the operations of GPCL, foster collaboration, and explore areas of mutual partnership.
The seven-member delegation, led by Nii Adjiri Sackey, Municipal Director of the NCCE, was warmly received by the Managing Director of GPCL, Nana Kwasi Boatey, Esq., together with members of the company’s management team.
Mr. Sackey commended GPCL for its remarkable progress, highlighting the facelift of the company and its strategic positioning as one of the most reliable printing and publishing hubs in the sub-region. He further expressed optimism about possible collaborations with GPCL, particularly in areas that align with the Commission’s civic education mandate.
On behalf of management, Mr. Nana Kwasi Boatey, Esq., expressed appreciation to the NCCE team for their visit and interest in GPCL’s operations. He outlined the company’s activities and reaffirmed GPCL’s commitment to forging partnerships that would yield mutual benefits for both institutions and, ultimately, the country.
As part of the engagement, GPCL presented copies of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana to the NCCE to support the Commission’s civic education initiatives. This gesture underscores GPCL’s role as the nation’s authentic source of published Acts, Constitutions, and other legal instruments. By making these copies available, GPCL aims to strengthen the NCCE’s mandate of promoting constitutional awareness, deepening democratic values, and educating citizens on their rights and responsibilities. The presentation also reflects GPCL’s commitment to fostering informed citizenry through access to accurate and credible publications, which remain essential to building a strong democratic culture in Ghana.
This visit marks the beginning of a promising partnership between GPCL and the NCCE, reinforcing both institutions’ shared commitment to national development through civic awareness and access to authentic publications.
